# Breast Reduction

Less burdensome and more beautiful breasts

01 The procedure
goes beyond
a mere reduction in size

Breast reduction is not a simple attempt at an aesthetic improvement.
For enlarged breasts accompany health and psychological issues in addition to the unsatisfactory aesthetics.
Excessively large breasts are also a cause of skin diseases such as eczema,
and they put pressure on the spine and the shoulders:
it is an issue that must be addressed for individual health.
Ignoring the issues may cause further complications such as loss of confidence or bad posture, and
therefore breast reduction must mean something more than a mere aesthetic improvement.

experienced in both
body contouring and
breast enhancement

In the end, breast reduction aims at promoting the overall health
as much as it is an aesthetic improvement. Therefore, it is not only important to reduce the breasts in size, but also to determine the appropriate size
that is proportionate to the entire body.

  • Ability to provide a sensible treatment based on the bodily proportion

BANOBAGI is a comprehensive institution that can sculpt a wide range of body parts.
Since breast enhancement and body contouring are tightly knit together,
we have Dr. Barn Jae Sang, who specializes in both areas, leading the medical team.
This allows us to provide breast reduction that is proportionate to the overall figure,
and to pursue both beautiful and comfortable results
.

03 We will suggest a procedure that is best for the desired outcome

Breast reduction surgery comes in four types:
each with advantages and disadvantages.
It is important to receive sufficient consultation beforehand and to make the right decision as to which surgery you should receive.

  • Breast reduction through areolar incision

    Breast reduction through areolar incision

This method accesses the in-breast tissues through an incision around the areola, and is possible unless
the breasts are too large. The areolar incision leaves
a minimally noticeable scar, and the procedure mostly does not hinder
    the function of the breast.

  • Breast reduction through vertical incision

    Breast reduction through vertical incision

A vertical incision accesses the breast tissues through a 4 to 5cm long incision going down from the areola. This strikes the balance between the “O-shaped” incision technique and the areolar incision: it is available for relatively larger breasts, but has less scarring than the “O-shaped” incision. It allows for
a relatively swift operation, which results in quicker recovery and easier breast-shaping. The downside is some scarring.

  • Breast reduction through “O-shaped” incision

    Breast reduction through “O-shaped” incision

This is the most common method of breast reduction, and is available for almost every case (e.g. very heavy breasts, sagging breasts, etc.) The results can be predicted with ease, and the procedure comes with no loss of sensation in the areola—which can also be moved during the procedure. However, scarring may occur under the breast and the areola: those who greatly wish to avoid scarring must look elsewhere.

  • Breast reduction through liposuction

    Breast reduction through liposuction

This method reduces the breast size by removing the fat within the breast.
In case of enlarged breasts due to overall obesity, the breasts have high volume of fat tissues and liposuction can be very effective. The procedure takes little time and scarring is not a big concern; making liposuction
an attractive option for the patients who fear scarring. However, if the skin has stretched out too much due to the size of the breast, the procedure may leave the breast to sag.

One misconception about breast reduction is that
the procedure results in unflattering breasts.

If the shape of the breast is unattractive following a procedure,
it is most likely due to a faulty design from the beginning or a lack of proper care afterwards.

BANOBAGI assures a proactive post-operation care (e.g. biophoton light therapy, massage program, etc.),
and assists in fast recovery and proper breast-shape retention.
Furthermore, a collaborative treatment with BANOBAGI Dermatology provides the patients with even better care for any scarring.

Biophoton light therapy

The biophoton light therapy is a full-body heat therapy designed for the patient’s recovery that uses PDP (platinum diamond photon), a new material that is a nano-particle combination of platinum and diamond. PDP emits 4 to 14 microns of light energy, which raises the body temperature, strengthens the immune system, and aids the body’s effort to purge toxic waste. Furthermore, it improves circulation which helps breaking down fat cells.

05 Dual-slim
breast reduction:
BANOBAGI’s effort
to understand the patients’ struggles

The connection between enlarged breasts and upper-body obesity

Enlarged breasts are commonly accompanied by overall obesity; the abdomen and the accessory breasts, due to their adjacent position to the breasts,
must be improved along with the breasts themselves. Without treating the fat tissues around the body simultaneously with the breast reduction, the procedure will yield awkward results.

BANOBAGI invented the “dual-slim” breast reduction program that tackles both breast reduction
and liposuction simultaneously
.

Dual-slim procedure embodies BANOBAGI’s specialty in both body contouring and breast enhancement.
From the very first consultation, we offer a design that is proportionate to the entire body figure and not limited to the breasts.
The patients may expect a balanced bodyline: complete with beautiful breasts and a slim figure.
