Not only brighter impressions but improved eye functions

# Middle-aged eye surgery

Natural and younger-looking eyes

Understanding the concerns of the middle-aged patients,
BANOBAGI offers middle-aged eye surgery that completely addresses them without making the whole process burdensome.

Middle-aged eye surgery must take a different approach from the general cosmetic eye surgeries designed for younger patients.

  • What is more important than a drastic change in the eye shape or size is naturally restoring the eyes back to their younger selves by making improvements on wrinkles or droopiness.

  • The procedure
    must not be burdensome.

  • It is even better to correct the diminishing eye functions along the process

With a detailed surgery plan that can materialize these values,
BANOBAGI tries to provide a more satisfying middle-age eye surgery

01 Droopy eyes from aging,
must be addressed for the
eye health as well

Eyelids, as any other area of skin, lose their elasticity over time and eventually droops.
Droopy eyelids make the whole face look more aged and even obstructs the eyesight.
As the eyesight becomes narrow, we tend to squint or raise our eyebrows to see better: resulting in wrinkles throughout the face.

The greatest issue with droopy eyelids is their adverse effect on our eye health.
Eyes become swollen, tear up easily, and the festered eye-corners sometimes cause contact dermatitis.
Therefore, the drooping eyelids should be corrected with Upper blepharoplasty

02 Reason for hesitating despite the discomfort:
BANOBAGI understands it.

  • 01 . Fear toward surgery

  • 02 . Worry about drastic change in facial impressions

  • 03 . Aversion against pain

  • 04 . Concern about the adverse effect on daily routine

“Maybe I may let it be…”

Many patients have a hard time deciding on Upper blepharoplasty, despite various discomforts caused by droopy eyelids.
This is due to a conceptual feat of surgery, concerns about their face changing too much and becoming unfamiliar, and aversion against pain and the recovery process. BANOBAGI understands this difficulty and thought much on how we may offer a better solution.

03 Because we understand the concerns,
we designed the
Non-Incisional Upper Blepharoplasty

Most concerns about an Upper blepharoplasty is on the incision during the procedure. However, fixing a droopy eyelid with threads alone would be ineffective and carry a risk of the threads becoming loosened.

This is why BANOBAGI designed the Non-Incisional Upper Blepharoplasty that features an additional source of strength: adhesion of tissues.

Non-incision eyelid correction through the dual force of thread strength and tissue adhesion

Non-Incisional Upper Blepharoplasty avoids making an incision and guides the correction more effectively and consistently through the dual force of thread strength and tissue adhesion. Because the procedure does not involve incisions, the surgery becomes less worrisome. The operating time is shortened, as well as the recovery.

In addition, the procedure leaves less swelling and pain: with more natural results and a quick recovery.

Non-sedated minimum pain anesthesia even takes the pain away from the anesthetic process.

Following the procedure, patients may experience numbness and feverish sensations which will diminish gradually.

The stiff pain caused by swelling can be alleviated with pain-relievers, and icing helps.

  • * Consensus based on the actual patients’ response to questionnaire.
  • * Not a strict standard, and patients’ experiences may differ.

04 Incision Upper blepharoplasty
can also be natural

It is true that a severe drooping caused by sagging eyelids are difficult to be corrected by Non-Incisional Upper Blepharoplasty method. No matter how precisely corrections are made, or how much the eye muscle is strengthened, the sagging skin renders the effort ineffective. In such cases, Incision Upper blepharoplasty is necessary: it removes the unnecessary skin and fat to correct the droopiness more effectively.

Even with an Incisional surgery, worries about thick crease or drastic change in facial features are unnecessary.
BANOBAGI can properly adjust the double eyelid lines through years of experience and skills. Depending on the individual eyelid conditions, an incision can made in the area immediately above the eyelashes to create double eyelid, or we can forgo the fixation process to leave the eyelid single-layered.

Because the procedure involves incision, it might be with more swelling and the eyes might seem unfamiliar right after the surgery. However, once the swelling has gone away, the result is more natural and satisfying.

01 Complex traces of aging below the eyes,
Lower blepharoplasty is effective

Below the eyes, along with the crow’s feet,
is one of the areas where the signs of aging are the most evident.

The under-eye skin loses its elasticity to create craggy-looking wrinkles, darkened discolorations and sagging bags. These features make a person look tired or otherwise aged: once improved with Lower blepharoplasty, a younger and brighter look could be achieved.
Fine wrinkles acquired from sunlight could be improved with laser therapy,
but in most cases, Lower blepharoplasty is an effective solution.

When Lower blepharoplasty is needed

Darkened under-eye area
Wrinkles under eyes
Sagging bags of fat tissues under the eye

02 Lower blepharoplasty
brings various benefits

Lower blepharoplasty makes an incision under the lower eyelid near the roots of the eyelashes, removing unnecessary skin or fat.
Depending on the individual needs, the procedure may smooth out the deep-set wrinkles or remove an appropriate amount of fat from the sagging bags to even out the surface below the eye.

Because a single surgery can address the complex under-eye concerns such as wrinkles, skin tone and fat, Lower blepharoplasty has a high satisfaction rate.

If the skin is excessively removed during Lower blepharoplasty, it may lead the white part of the eye to be inappropriately exposed. Therefore, it is important to find an experienced surgeon who can systematically carry out the operation.
BANOBAGI’s surgery features a double-method of making precise incision and the fat removal through red conjunctiva of the inner skin, so that we minimize the side-effects and guide to a rapid recovery.

Also, because the incision is made behind the eyelashes,
scar is nearly invisible: helping the
patients be less stressful and the results be more natural.

Advantages of the Lower
blepharoplasty

  • Incision near the eyelashes brings less concern on scarring

  • Precise fat-tissue-correction keeps the under-eye area
    even and smooth

  • Systematic surgery minimizes side-effects

  • Proper incision and aftercare facilitate recovery
