Flat and indented forehead: what you need is volume
The forehead constitutes one-third of the entire face and is the biggest factor in deciding your personal image. The ideal forehead has a smooth curve and the volume that is proportionate to the heights of brow ridge, nose, mouth, and chin when viewed from the sides. If the forehead is flat or even sunk inward—or if the brow ridge is protruded, accentuating the forehead—it creates a masculine and tough look, which in turn, imposes limitations in makeup or hairstyling.
The forehead volume determines your profile.
Most Common Cases of Forehead Implant
-
Forehead that is visibly flat from the sides or partially indented
-
Overly developed brow ridge creating tough and masculine impressions
The injection can be filled more precisely.
Basically, if your forehead condition does not require a forehead implant, or if you want a little more volume after the implant, you can improve your forehead through injection procedures such as fat grafting or fillers.

Satisfaction with personalized implants
Forehead implants are designed for cases where injections are limited in their effectiveness. After carefully checking the current condition of the forehead, an ideal shape of the implant is made using silicone and inserted under the forehead periosteum.
This is relatively easy to operate, and can be designed for each individual, which has the advantage of great change and higher satisfaction.
The forehead line can be improved along with fat injection or fillers at the same time if necessary.
Forehead Implant Surgery Process
-
STEP. 01
Check the condition of the forehead before surgery
and imitate a shape of the forehead. -
STEP. 02
Use a silicon to create an implant
that fits the ideal shape of the forehead. -
STEP. 03
Incision is made about 4 to 5 cm
from the hairline and insert the implant under the periosteum. -
STEP. 04
Adhere the implant to create natural volume and curvature.
Silicone implants have the advantage of stability and naturalness.
Just because our foreheads are hard, the implants do not necessarily be used with artificial bones.
On the contrary, if you used hard artificial bones, the possibility of breakage due to external impact increases, and the shape is already fixed, the disadvantage is the results which will be unnatural.
Banobagi has figured from the long experiences that silicone implants are more suitable for forehead shaping.
A customized silicone implant is made and inserted. Due to its elasticity and cohesiveness, it is unlikely to be damaged by external shocks, and its appearance and expression are also natural.
In addition, the procedure can be performed with a relatively small incision, and there is less worry about scars.

You may feel swollen in your forehead after the injection or implant.
Aching pain may occur when awake from anesthetics and will improve over time.
The pain level during stitch removal or disinfection is a light sting.
The pain from swelling and feeling of being pulled will be alleviated with prescribed painkillers.

The overall facial proportions are determined by the forehead size
In general, the ideal facial proportions are considered to be 1:1:0.8–0.9, brow-to-nose-to-chin. Forehead any larger than this makes the facial features appear clumped together, creating an imbalance in proportions. It can also make your face look longer, your head larger, or your hair thinner: all are undesired effects.
If the forehead is too small, improvements can be made in relatively simple ways (e.g., hair removal). However, surgical options such as forehead reduction can be effective in case of a large forehead.

Forehead reduction can readjust the forehead line in a more direct manner
In principle, forehead reduction is fairly simple. Incision is made along the existing hairline to pull the scalp downward, which is then fixed into place and stitched back up. The greatest advantage of this method is that the forehead size is adjusted in a direct manner and, therefore, is effective. Moreover, the ideal facial proportions created here make your face look smaller and clearer, and the more natural-looking hairline lets you pull off a greater range of hairstyles.

Detailed every step of the way: more satisfying results
Forehead reduction is a relatively simple procedure in theory, but the results vary depending on the surgeon’s skills. A mere scalp-pull-down after an incision inevitably leads to an awkward result: BANOBAGI applies our knowledge and skills to each step of the surgery, providing a more natural-looking and ideal reduction of your forehead.
First, our incision is not made straight-down; rather, we incise the scalp at a 45-degree bias, allowing the hair follicles to more naturally move forward. Even our overall incision shape is jagged: this does not only lessen the scarring but also facilitate a natural hairline formation. During the fixation process, we use Endotine* to prevent the scalp from returning to its original position. Last, the incision is stitched back up using techniques that fit each of the tissue layers, reducing tissue damage and scarring.
-
45-degree incision that saves follicles
We move the hair follicles downward with a 45-degree bias incision—rather than straight-down—and this allows the hairline to form more evenly and naturally.
-
Jagged incision
The incision is made on the hairline in a jagged pattern, instead of a straight line. This allows for a more effective stitching that prevents scarring better and forms a more natural hairline.
-
Fixed using Endotine*
The scalp, moved downward, is fixed using Endotine. Endotine ensures an even distribution of tensile force and prevents the scalp from moving back up. The inserted Endotine is absorbed into the body over time: this creates more natural-looking results and a more effective scarring recovery.
-
Layer-by-layer stitching
The skin consists of many layers—epidermis, dermis, fat, myofascia, muscle, and more—and if a surgeon incises or stitches the skin without regard for these different skin layers and their nature, tissue damage occurs, as well as the risk of various complications such as slower recovery. BANOBAGI uses our understanding of these skin layers in our stitching to reduce scarring and recovery time.
-
Endotine*
Endotine is an FDA-approved product made from bio-friendly material. Unlike simple stitching that focuses all the strength onto a single location, Endotine pulls the skin tissues with even pressure, preventing side effects or reoccurrences and allowing for a more natural-looking wrinkle removal. Moreover, because the material naturally dissolves within the body over time, providing a semipermanent fixation, Endotine is used in various antiaging procedures.
