BANOBAGI NOSE SURGERY

Male rhinoplasty can improve a man’s overall facial image

Rhinoplasty is the most common form of male plastic surgery. The reason is that facial depth and edges are of most import in a male face, and the nose can bring both of them out. In this sense, the nose plays a big role in men’s looks.

Some of the more common nose issues discussed by male patients are low nose, crooked nose (either congenital or caused by trauma), and hooked nose that creates a stuffy feel.

Properly addressing these issues can go beyond simply reshaping the nose shape and make overall improvements to the facial image. Therefore, it is wise to select a proper method of male rhinoplasty, through a thorough diagnosis, and make improvements.

  • Low nose that creates a dull impression
  • Snub nose with raised nose tip that shows the nostrils
  • Severely hooked nose that creates a stuffy feel
  • Crooked nose from birth or trauma

Rhinoplasty for men must be different

A male rhinoplasty should have different goals and results from a female rhinoplasty. Women tend to look for a small-sized nose with delicate and pretty curves, but for a male rhinoplasty, it is important to create an uncomplicated and linear nose while maintaining sufficient volume.

BANOBAGI’s male rhinoplasty offers all of this. The ideal nose height is determined with the nose angle between the forehead and the lips in mind, and it creates depth and an uncomplicated feel. Moreover, we give the nose tip a sufficient size and bring out the bridge, emphasizing natural masculinity.

  • Linear edges in uncomplicated facial features
  • Delicate and pretty curves

BANOBAGI’s Male rhinoplasty: for Men
  • STEP 01
Ideal angle creation: the ideal angle between the forehead and the nose is roughly 130°, while for the nasal septum and the lips, it is between 90°–100°.
  • STEP 02
Nose tip with sufficient volume: unlike female rhinoplasty, in which a pointed and narrow nose tip is desired, a male rhinoplasty is done to maintain volume in the nose tip to accentuate masculinity.
  • STEP 03
Sharper nose bridge: men tend to have a wide nose bridge, as well as a wide outer-brow-to-nose-bridge line; a silicone implant of 11–13 mm width is used to bring out the sharpness.

Almost every case can be improved upon, according to your individual needs

For a more satisfying male rhinoplasty, it is important to make the improvements that fit the patient’s individual nose shape. Even if the surgeon has an understanding of masculinity in noses and can plan the surgery accordingly, without the skills to materialize them, a proper improvement cannot be made.

BANOBAGI knows various nose improvement techniques for different types of nose, and we can provide systematic and precise surgery that suits your individual needs.

  • Low nose reshaping
    Low nose reshaping

If the nose bridge is low, the first priority is to determine the ideal nose tip location by calculating the connectivity among the forehead, brow ridge, and the lips. Afterward, implant is used to raise the nose bridge to match the ideal nose tip location. Here, the bridge must accentuate a linear feel, and with some width, a masculine impression can be created.

  • Nose tip reshaping

In general, this is done at the same time with a nose bridge reshaping. By tying down the nose tip cartilage, we can adjust the alar width as well as the nose tip height. If needed, autologous cartilage can be shaped and attached to fit the nose tip shape, creating any lacking nose tip height or correcting awkward nose tip placement.

Nasal osteotomy using autologous cartilage instead of artificial implants

    STEP 03

Implant insertion that can raise the nose bridge and prevent recurrence for a low nose

    Hooked nose reshaping

Hooked noses come in two types: hooking in the upper nose and in the lower nose. In either case, the key is to correct the hooking, and implant can be inserted according to the existing nose height to create the desired height.

  • Crooked nose reshaping
    Crooked nose reshaping

Crooked nose is more common in men than in women because of larger bone development in men and the male tendency to experience more external trauma. Because a crooked nose accompanies functional issues in the nose as well, it is important to make improvements from the inside, rather than focusing on the outer appearances. The process is a comprehensive correction that factors in even the curves of inner-nose tissues and facial-muscle-use frequency.
